EURO MANIA!!!

Well, Euro mania is well and truly kicking off here in Ireland, and im right in the middle of the madness!!! I heard that the story of Dustins entry for Ireland is being carried by the international media!! The story has reached the far corners of the world by all accounts, which is terrific for all of us other contestants, who are hanging on for the ride!!!!

Things are busy here. All of the Eurosong contestants are to appear on the Late Late show on RTE television on Friday night, to sing a song together. It should be hilarious!! im sure the feathers will be flying!

I went on a talk show called the Joe Duffy show yesterday on RTE radio! Now, I'm a very honest and outspoken person, and I really enjoyed my time on the show... As far as I'm concerned, doing the Eurosong is a great honour, and also a great achievement for me personally, as people are giving me the thumbs up, not just for my singing ability but also for my songwriting :-)

It's fantastic for me!! I had great banter on the Joe Duffy show, he seems like a lovely man with a bit of mischief in him, and i enjoyed chatting with him very much. Sadly though, a couple of newspapers have twisted my tongue in cheek comments on my turkey friend, and made me out to be some bitter aul wan with a serious case of sour grapes, when that is just not the case at all. Sure, if Dustin wasn't in the competition it probably wouldn't have the level of interest that it does. He is hilarious, everything he does cracks me up! All i ask for, is that the public judge on the songs and performances on the night.

I think that's fair enough dont you?

But i have to say, I'm happy that I'm a straight talker. Im certainly not bitter about anything, just having a blast, and really looking forward to performing my song on de telly! Of course, for some reason, I'm bloody starving every day, when i should be watching my waistline and getting "match fit", but the chocolate keeps a calling :-S

Cant wait for the show itself! Don't forget we haven't heard each others songs, so I have no idea what I will be up against. I just hope we all do ourselves proud! The other contestants are all really sound people, and individual characters, including Dustin, and i hope that, as people with serious ambitions, that the show gives us a platform to be heard! Sure, you couldn't ask for anything more!

I will keep you updated on all the madness, but for now, that's the latest.
